Tel Aviv’s Hilton Beach has been voted one of the Top 10 gay beaches for 2012, according to GayCities.com internet site.

“Gay life in Tel Aviv is by far the most vibrant and eclectic in the Middle East,” writes the popular gay tourism site.

Earlier this year, GayCities and American Airlines awarded Tel Aviv as the world’s best city for gay tourism. That honor brought some 20,000 rainbow tourists to Tel Aviv last month for Gay Pride.

“Hilton Beach is not just any gay beach, but a hotspot packed with sunbathers both olive-skinned locals and the visitors from all over the world looking to experience the city’s flavor and get rid of their tan lines,” writes the site.

GayCities.com provides information for gay tourists on 215 cities around the world. That the site keeps headlining Tel Aviv has a lot to say about the city’s liberal attitude.
