Ayala Serfaty takes art and function to a whole new level with strange, luminous designs that are lighting up hotels and museums worldwide.

Many artists use the play of light in their artwork, but Ayala Serfaty of Aqua Creations offers art that is light itself, contained in surprising shapes and materials like silk, mohair and a unique polymer skin.

With an exclusive line of lighting fixtures for the home or public spaces, Aqua Creations, based in Tel Aviv, is enchanting customers around the world.

Ayala Serfaty’s strange luminous art can be found in hotels worldwide.

Serfaty’s work is featured in museums and galleries worldwide, and some suggest there is no hotel of consequence that doesn’t have one of her creations adorning at least one of its public spaces. Her illuminating art has travelled from Las Vegas to Bucharest, from Santo Domingo to Tokyo – and everywhere in between.

Serfaty and her husband started Aqua Creations as a home studio. They specialize in organic design, using natural products and creating a unique aesthetic.

While business beyond Israel’s borders was originally handled by an outside distributor, four years ago, with demand for Ayala’s work growing, the couple opened their own gallery in the New York Design Center and they are now expanding their space there for the second time.
